Thanks - php adjusted and server has been restarted which seems to have fixed a bunch of stuff :D
Still cant seem to save templates for some reason but I think everything else is good.
If I want to import entries from a dev box to live box can you advise which database tables I should import (rather than blasting over all my settings again ?)

Given all the changes that can occur in a site’s database that are inter-dependent on each other, I would only recommend a full database dump and import.
