Hello there, I’m messing around with the Membrr module and am trying to figure out a way to register a user within EE that put the user in a temporary group (I have that part), then automatically directs the user to the membrr form. How do I do the auto redirect to the membrr form?

    Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know how to redirect a user to a new page after the registration process?

    Thanks in advance.

I would try the “return” parameter that is available for the login form (http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/modules/member/login_form.html) and see if it works. If not it is available in Solspace’s User add-on (http://www.solspace.com/docs/detail/user_register/#return) along with dozens of other useful features.

Hi there, I just realized that I can’t add the “return” parameter on the built in EE membership form. Does anybody know of a way to do a redirect from the EE membership form to another page upon submission. I really want to do this natively if possible.

    Thanks in advance.

I am rather new to EE but the more I am reading EE api’s, docs and user discussions, the more I am hearing that the built in EE members module is too restrictive in its usage. The $99 User module seems to be the way to go for public user management. So much for a commercially supported EE CMS! What’s the point of having a built in Members module if you can’t make real use of it?

I do agree that sometimes it’s frustrating when a product doesn’t do exactly what you want. However I think these types of situations breed innovation and provide opportunities for addon developers. The EE community is a vibrant community and I personally have had nothing but positive experiences. Being a commercial product there are sometimes expectations, but I think the product is getting better all of the time.

    Stick with it 😊
