When searching for my site in google, the first result is my home page - great! The second result is something like…

    http://www.mysite.com/index.php/site/2017/11/

...does anyone know why this page is being found. What’s with the /site/2017/11/? Do I need to disallow it on my robots.txt file?

Questions, questions….there are so many questions!!

    cfenwick,

What version and build of EE are you using? Are you using any add-ons?
This looks like a EE archive date URL.

What comes up when you click it?

Do you have Strict URLs turned on

    Hi John,

    I’m using Version 2.1.3 (Build 20110411).

ImageSizer, Magpie RSS Parser and XML Encode are the only plugins I’m using.

When I click it, it takes me to a version of my home page, but with some of the graphics missing.

No, I don’t have strict URLs turned on.

    Thanks,
    CFenwick

    Hi, cfenwick.

You can always put in a redirect for that page in Google, or request it be removed. I’ve seen that happen before (years ago) but not recently.

In other words—as long as it is just a single link, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
