    under EE 1.X there was a default custom email link which produced this kind of output:

    {encode="[email protected]" title="email me"}

    How does one add such a feature via HTML formatting ?

    PS
    I notice that the @ symbol in these forums produces this:

    [[email protected]]email me[/email]

    EE automatically encodes emails. If you’re asking how to encode emails outside of EE try using this: http://www.albionresearch.com/misc/obfuscator.php

    Hi, giovanni.

    I’m going to suggest a Feature Request for this, but as captaink says (thanks the the assist!) just putting in the email address will encode it. What it won’t do is add the title.

    I can move this over to the Community Help forum if you’d like.

    Yes please move it to the proper thread. And thanks for offering to add this issue to future Features. I think it makes sense to have this feature al la what we had with   EE 1.x

    PS I notice that on this forum there is an @  Button. Can not this be added to the CMS?
