If this is helpful, I tried showing the value of the relationship field in my template and what is getting output is a number which is certainly not the ID of the related entry. I have no ideas where the number is coming from, but it isn’t right.

I’m still having the problem. I just haven’t had time to troubleshoot further. The php errors are gone in the latest version of ee, but I’m still dropping data from my forms. My live site is stuck at 2.1.3 still because there are some other conflicts under 2.2. My 2.2.1 update is just on my local machine, but I’m out of town until next week. I’ll post my template code when I get back.

Hello all,
I’m attempting to replicate this issue and will follow up with a bug report if need be.
Best,

All,
On a fresh install of EE 2.2.1 I was able to replicate the issue of SafeCracker dropping relationship data.
In my test, the content of my entry was updated, PHP errors were generated, AND relationship data was lost. The only thing that I wasn’t able to replicate was the incorrect relationship values. My relationship fields contained correct related entry_id values.
I’m going to file a bug report on this and you can follow along with that here

Hi, Hybrid Design. Dan did post a bug report, but there hasn’t been an update yet on that particular one.

Jeremy, aircrash and Hybrid Design,
Could you try applying the fix found in this forum post?
Thanks,
Wes

Hi Scott,
You applied the bug fix that’s posted with a solution here? (That one should be the same as the one in the forum thread Wes linked to.)
Could you double check the fix you applied? That does appear to resolve all the issues we’ve had reported in this thread. If that doesn’t take care of your issues, could you please detail those for us here along with steps that we’ll need to reproduce the problems you’re experiencing?

Kevin I have been working on this with Mark Bowen on this thread and seen on the bug report that it may be a duplicate of this thread.
Would there be sufficient information in my thread or maybe Mark might explain it better. I will try to do the code changes again.

I have just tried the code changes again but still the same.

Ah, ok. I didn’t see that thread. Looks like we’re duplicating efforts here. I’ll close this thread up then, since it looks like everyone else in the thread had their issues resolved by that bug fix. Since you didn’t, yours may be a related but different issue. We’ll keep working with you on this over at this thread.
