    I seem to be getting into trouble again.

    I had installed the forum and tested it, and I was actually quite pleased with it. I used the default theme, and when inside the forum I tried the button on the bottom to change the theme. Blue and grey worked fine, but when I hit the Developer theme the screen turned white/blank.

    Since I cant see the forum anymore I tried looking everywhere in the control panel to see where I can reset to the default theme, but I cant find out where it is. Can anyone help me to find where I change back?  :red:

    In the Forum Management in the control panel I have set the general theme preference to be Default. On a computer where I haven´t logged in to the site earlier the default theme shows. When I went to my iPad and logged in I got the blank screen. So its definitely connected to my profile.

    When I have found out this I should also disable the possibility to let users change to this theme.

    Anne,

    If there is a problem with the theme. Download the forum again and just upload the actual developer theme folder. Maybe something was corrupt last time it was uploaded.

    Your choice of theme is actually held in a browser cookie so try deleting your browser’s cookies and cache

    To disable this choice for a user open up theme_global.php in your theme’s folder and comment out the following

    {if in_forum}
    <div class="itempadbig">
    <select name="theme_switcher" class="select">
    <option value="">{lang:select_theme}</option>
    {include:theme_option_list}
    </select>
    </div>
    {/if}

    Hi John,
    Thanks again for helping out.

    The first problem solved itself as I had a screen with an active session with the forum before the change minimized, had so many windows open. There I could change it to one of the working themes and it was solved. But I understand your point with the cookies and will take a note of it in case it happens again.

    As to the issue of removing this chice for the users I was so happy when I saw your answer, this seemed pretty straight forward. But the problem is that I cant find a file called theme_global.php anywhere. I searched both my harddisk and the server, but it doesn´t show up.
    When I open the themes folder I get the first picture. When I pick forum_themes I get the second picture, and when I pick default I get the third picture.

    Where is the file theme_global.php hidden, or could it be called something else?

    Anne,

    My bad. I gave you directions for the theme in EE1.x by mistake

    Here is the file you want

    /themes/forum_themes/default/forum_global/html_footer.html
