I upgraded my local “dev” install and everything appeared to work fine.  I then updated my “live” site and am having a few issues.  I uploaded the new “system” folder, then copied back my templates, third party files, and config/database.php files.  The site pulls up just fine.  However, when I try to log in, nothing happens.  I get the login page, where I enter my information.  I quick message flashes, then it takes me back to the login page.  Not knowing for sure what to do, I thought I would try to reset my password in case it got messed up.  I got the reset link and when I click on it, I get an error about an unknown column ‘salt’.  I’ve attached a screenshot.

I thought that reinstalling might work, but then it tells me that the latest version is already installed.

Your thoughts are appreciated - thanks!

    THIS HAS BEEN RESOLVED

I’m not sure what happened but I don’t think the database completely updated when I tried to update to 2.2.  The problem regarding the error is that the exp_members table didn’t contain a “salt” column (or a “remember_me” column.  I tried to add them, but it still wouldn’t let me log in.  So finally, I exported my data, did a fresh install, then slowly started to import my data back in.  Not fun.  However, everything appears to be working ok now, and I can log in again.

    Todd,

Glad you are up and running and apologies if you had to go through the mill to resolve this yourself. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions
