Hello all,
I’m working on a project for a client to organize documents with tiered permissions for many levels of users. I can’t quote get my head around how do this with native member functionality, so I tried the Solspace User plugin which solves some issues by allowing multiple authors. However, this has caused a confusing issue on the backend with organization and assignments for the hundreds of entries required. I’m wondering if anyone could offer a fresh perspective on the best way to organize and keep the following private for each member level…
Top Level Access (Super Admin See Entire Tree)
- Regional Admin 1
- Local Admin A
- Manager 1
- Entry A
- Entry B
- Entry C
- Manager 2
- Entry A
- Entry B
- Entry C
- Local Admin B
- Manager 3
- Entry A
- Entry B
- Entry C
- Manager 4
- Entry A
- Entry B
- Entry C
- Regional Admin 2
- Local Admin C
- Manager 5
- Entry A
- Entry B
- Entry C
- Manager 6
- Entry A
- Entry B
- Entry C
And so on…
So managers wouldn’t be able to see other managers entries, Local Admins would see just their managers and reports, Regional Admins would see their allowed info on up the chain.
Ideally all on this could be assigned at the time of the entry. Is this possible? Would the Taxonomy plugin be able to accomplish this?
Thank You!
