Hi there, I’m trying to figure out a way to modify the look of the forum module that has been added into my regular template. I would like to move the forum modual header information into the header of my template. Is the possible?

    Attached is a screenshot.

The discussion forum templating is completely different than EE.

Thanks Chris, Can these tags be used in regular EE templates or are they restricted to the forum module.

Thanks for the response. It’s very much appreciated.

The discussion forum and EE templating and memberships are not interchangeable.  There is no current Ellis roadmap in that direction.  More discussion forum developer addons such as forum subscribe and RL forum themes will really help.  Many of the top EE developers still recommend comments be used instead of the forum.

A GREAT example of a customized Discussion Forum 2.1.2 is http://www.solspace.com/forums.

This EE forum thread shares posts on discussion forum that will give you insight as you plan:

Good luck with your projects.  EE is the best.  Hope this helps

I agree. U pay for module and when you want to customize it you spend hours doing it.

    Try with this.

This is only thing I know that is almost useful for templateing forums. Still trying to do it myself.
