I have built an entire CRUD system in CI 2.0 and my client is deciding to move their operations from Joomla to EE (thank god). I am fairly new to EE and have never done this type of migration. Since EE is built on CI 2.0 I was wondering how hard it would be to use the CI CRUD that I built with the EE installation.

Hopefully someone has done this before.

    Digafex,

What I would recommend is getting your content exported from your existing Joomla site into a form like XML or csv and then using the DataGrab addon for EE to pull all this content into your EE site after first setting it up the way you wish.

That would be the most straightforward way.

You wouldn’t be able to integrate your CRUD with EE. EE is an application sitting on the CI framework.
This will allow your client to create, update and delete all the entries they wish to within EE

    Does that answer your question?

So I just need a separate CI installation to run my CRUD. ok.

Sounds like a plan. If anything else comes up, please do let us know in a new thread..
