I have a client who wants to sell PDF documents on their site. We were thinking of having the PDF’s archived and accessed through a link provided after purchase. The link would expire in a given time so the download could not be abused. Anybody ever worked with somthing like this before? What shopping cart did you use? Please let me know if there may be an easier approach than this if you tried somthing and it worked out well.

    Hi Anthony,

I recommend FoxEE Cart from HHC Development.  We used it alongside their classifieds extension on a previous client and I will be using it again for future projects.

You need CartThrob.  Someone asked a question on the CT forum which kinda relates to your senario.

Brilliant retail seems good also and you are the second person to suggest it. I have sent them a message with the scenario to See if there program fits the bill.

Based on the need you listed above it would seem that their platform would do what you need with a downloadable product type.
