    Hi,

I’m trying to give my client access to the category admin section. First I’ve noticed that that is only possible while allowing access to channel, field and status groups as well. I’ve posted a Feature Request about it.

What should work is blocking channel admin, but it doesn’t.

I’ve set “Can administrate channels and channel preferences” to No, but when logged in as that user, it is still possible?

    Hi Henk,

Setting “Can administrate channels and channel preferences” to No works for me as in it blocks access for that member group from that section. What happens in your instance and what do you expect it to do?

What version and build of EE are you using?

    Hi John,

Sorry for responding a bit late. I’m a bit slow today, the rainy festival weekend left me with a severe cold 😖

    I’m working with EE 2.1.3.

Ive set member group prefs > cp access > Can access ADMIN: Content Settings to yes.

And then member group prefs > cp admin > can administrate channels etc. to NO.

When logged in as member of that group, I can still access channel admin

    Hi Henk,

Looks like this is fixed for the next release, which incidentally should be tomorrow.  😉

Well that’s great news and I’m also very curious to see the improved file manager! 😊

Henk, as this bug looks fixed for next release I’m going to close this one out. Feel free as always to start a new thread if you have any more questions
