    Hi—

I’m having an issue trying to set up a members-only content on a site. I’ve created a log-in page using the {exp:member:login_form} tag, with the return parameter set to the main page of the members-only area. The members-only pages have their own template group and channel, and the template has access restrictions set to only allow that group access, with http authentication set to “yes”.

If I fill out the login form on my login page, it processes and sends me to the confirmation/redirect page, but I am them immediately presented with the browser’s own http authentication login panel, which I have to fill out with the same credentials before I finally can see the members-only area. This happens in all browsers (IEs, FF, Safari).

How can I avoid this second, browser-generated http authentication panel?

    (Site is running EE 2.1.3.)

    Thanks much.

Turn off HTTP authentication. EE will manage the group access for you.

Ah, thanks for clarifying that for me. Now it’s working as expected. Appreciate the help!

    Best,
