    Hi,

I’m new to Expression Engine and have run into a problem. I’m trying to implement an Accordion Menu as the main navigation in the left-hand sidebar of a website. The Accordion Menu is three levels deep and i can’t see how to control the active page states and make everything dynamic. At the moment the last page that was visited remains open if you navigate to a page that isn’t listed in the menu. What is the best approach for navigational menus in Expression Engine please?

    Thanks.

Are you using the Pages module, the Structure add-on, or something else for page management?  There are different ways of handling navigation depending on the method you’re using.

    Still confused..
Pages Module is not showing the Parent List Items of nested lists.
All of the other menu items do work, but Parent Items don’t click through to their Pages. If i close the <li> tag before the nested list it works fine, but then (obviously) it disables the nested menu.

Decided that this is a feature and not a bug.

    Jamie,

Are you still looking for help with this?

If you want to post some of the templates that you have I can move this to Community Help if you wish?

No problems. Let me move it there for you now so you are able to reply when you do get time to work on it.

Ok, any help with this is appreciated.
Parent Menu Items simply refuse to be links.
    ??

UPDATE: Fixed at last, the problem was within my jQuery Object and Class definitions and nothing to do with Expression Engine.
