    Hello

    I’m having trouble implementing the advanced search form. I’m using the form from: http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/modules/search/index.html

    I’m not getting the same results I do when I use the “simple search form” I get either no results or just one or two.  Even when I know there are multiple results available for a keyword in channel “x” I’ll only get one result from that channel using the advanced search form.

    On a side note: is it necessary or advantageous to use both status=“blah|blah” and status=“not blah|blah”? (see my code below)

    WebbDiva,

    You can only use one status parameter in your form tag. I would suggest using

    status="not Closed|pending review"

    This will not show those two and show the rest so you are covered.

    Does that make a difference?

    Hi John

    Nope that didn’t make a difference, but it was good to know.

    Hi Jules,

    I’m afraid that there have been several reported issues with the advanced search form. You might wish to upgrade to the latest beta if that’s appropriate for you. Otherwise, the best bet would be to reduce that form to a minimal set of variables that you know work for the moment.

    Cheers

    Greg

    Hi Greg

    Thanks for the heads up.  The site I’m working on is still in production so I have some time.  How can be notified when the issue is resolved?

    I also posted this issue with the search results pagination.  Not sure if it’s part of the issues been having, but thought I’d point it out to you.

    Hi Jules,

    The issues Greg pointed to are already resolved in the 2.1.5 beta, and those fixes will be included in the final 2.2 release. I’ll close this since you have another thread going but if you still have any issue like the above with 2.2 don’t hesitate to start a new thread.
