1.7.1 build number oversight?

Yesterday I upgraded from 1.7.0 to the latest 1.7.1. The build I downloaded was labeled 20110520 in my EE download account. I followed the upgrade instructions to the letter (and I was starting with 1.7.0, as I said).

I just noticed that the back-end pages of the site are displaying this in the footer:

    ExpressionEngine 1.7.1 - © Copyright 2003 - 2011 - EllisLab, Inc.
Script executed in 1.1813 seconds   28 SQL queries used
    Build:  20101018

Is that incorrect build number merely a cosmetic oversight, or did something go wrong with my upgrade? (I have never downloaded any other build of 1.7.1 except the one labeled 20110520.)

    Hi spacewalk,

Did you use these instructions when updating your site? Did you run the update.php file successfully?

    Cheers

    Yes and yes.

And here’s the really weird thing—the Control Panel footer is now displaying the correct version and build number (1.7.1 build 20110520) and I didn’t do anything to make this happen.

Thanks for the response. I can’t explain what took place.
