    Hi,

I know this issue has been raised before but none of the answers seemed to have a definitive solution.

We’re getting “Invalid mime type” errors when users are uploading PDF files.
I realise this is because of the XSS security validation, but broadly turning this off isn’t an option (or allowing all PDFs to bypass this). Giving these users super admin access also isn’t an option.

    We’re using EE 1.7.1 Build 20110406.

Can you please let me know what we can do or when this will be fixed?

    Thanks,
    Robert.

    Robert,

Can you confirm that in your upload settings that you are allowing all files and not just images to be uploaded? Are you using a third-party field to do the uploading?

Can you provide us with a PDF to test on our own installation. If you wish you can pm me a link to download it
