    Hi Folks

    I’m a totally newbe on CI.

    I would like to know if there is some guidance / or step by step on how to install CI on IIS7 or IIS7.5.

    I have read the installation instructions (http://ellislab.com/codeigniter/user-guide/installation/index.html) but apparently there is no specific info realted on how to install/setup on a Win Machine with IIS 7.

    Also I have seen a lot of threads in the forums related with the problem .htacces that in when anybody wants to install CI on IIS the installation

    I run CI on IIS 4.

    All you want to do is install php for IIS, then CI should work with little to no problems.

    I think the problem you are describing with .htaccess is url rewriting. This can be done in IIS, but not with .htaccess as that is only for apache servers. I forget what it is called but there is a URL rewriting module for IIS, although it cost money I believe.

    I basically just ignore the rewriting stuff while I have to use IIS, it’s just a giant pain.
