    Hi,

We have installed multiple site module in our server and following the document to change index.php files. It seem works fine.
However, we have problem to assign different member groups to different sites. For example, we assigned group1 members in site of “eedv” and group2 members to site of “ktu” by choosing “Membership Preferences General Configuration” and choose the “ktu” to group2 and “eedv” to group1 from drop down list (in the top of “Membership Preferences General Configuration” page). But different group to different site does not work after “update” button is clicked.

    Thanks,

    Dan

Dan, I don’t think you can assign member to a specific site. The drop down you described is refreshing the expand and collapse administration/privilege/access options you see below it.

To accomplish the member group restrictions you want, you can set the options for Channel Assignment here, in conjunction with Template Access Restriction from the Template Preferences Manager.

    Hi, dliu.

Are you trying to set up a particular member group based on site?

See the attached screen shot? You’d set the values for a particular site this way.

I have three sites here, and the default is in alphabetical order.

    Does that help?

Yes, I tried to set up a particular member group based on site. The site lists is showed in the drop down list which is the same as the attached image.
But it does not work after “update” button is clicked. It always goes to the default site (first one in alphabetical order).

    Thanks,

    Hi Dan,

Can you confirm the version and build of EE and the MSM module you’re using? And just to clarify, you’re saying that after you click update, which should return you to the Member Groups page, if you then click Edit Group next to the group you just edited those settings were not applied?
