    Members should not be able to send emails to other members who don’t want to receive emails. Can the default checkbox setting/behavior in the Member Email Communication be changed, so there is no checkbox and by default messages are only send to opted in members?

    Thanks

    Hi mint,

    Can you clarify the exact checkbox you’re referring to (a screenshot would help)? Does this only appear when you’re logged in as a SuperAdmin, perhaps?

    This happens with all admins. We have member groups with limited access to CP
    control panel access : yes,
    tools :yes,
    communication:yes

    The checkbox in question is just above the send button.

    Attached is a screen shot of what I see when logged in as this member:

    Hi, mint. Looking into this for you. It looks like that particular check box should be checked already, and it isn’t.

    Asking one of the devs.. Thanks in advance for your patience.

    Edited to add:

    <input type="hidden" name="accept_admin_email" value="y">

    You could remove the code in the communicate.php file having to do with accept_admin_email and use the code listed above instead.

    Might that work for you?

    Hi mint,

    That would be in themes/cp_themes/default/tools/communicate.php.
