    Hello,

I am looking for a way to exclude the option “Choose from existing ...” in the Safecracker file field (since I don´t want a member to see an image uploaded by another member and use it),

In cases where no image has been uploaded to an entry, I could solve this via stylesheet (.safecracker_file_existing {display: none;}), but in cases were an image already exists, the option is shown again if the existing image is deleted by the user.

Thanks a lot for a suggestion!

Hi, Wolfram. You can set the field to not allow picking from existing entries.. might that work for you? But that will mean they’ll HAVE to upload a file. Is that OK?

    Uncheck this field.

    Hi Sue,
why make it easy on yourself when you can take a stony road;-) Stupid me – I was only checking the settings under Extensions! Unselecting the field solves it perfectly – if an image for the entry exists, it is still shown as thumbnail. If a user decides to delete it, he will have to upload a new one.

    Thank you very much!

Hey, I had to check it myself. 😊 If anything else comes up, please do let us know in a new thread..
