    Hi,

I found that for a lot of members in member list the “Last visit” date is shown as 1970 01 03 03.00 AM. For other members “Last visit” date is correct.

Something goes wrong here. How can a member register and his last visit date be 1970 01 03 03.00 AM?

For some suspected spammers their “Last visit” date also is 1970 01 03 03.00 AM. Perhaps they exploit some security hole?

    I use EE v 1.7 build 20101018

    Thanks.

    Hi Laisvunas,

Looks like just a minor offset for the UNIX timestamp of 0. Did you change the site’s localization settings at some point after those members registered?

    Yes, it is.

I don’t remember if localization settings have been changed. But changing localization settings seems to me irrelevant.

It seems that the value of “Last visit” field in any case should not be 0.

Under what circumstances in EE “Last visit” field can have the value 0 ? It seems very strange, that a member can register, enter some spam into URL field and his “Last visit” field has the value 0.

It sounds like some members are registering and putting something into the URL field at registration time, but never actually logging in. I’d suggest enabling activation via email (if you need to enable member registrations at all), or use one of the various CAPTCHA add-ons, which should get rid of that very basic type of member spam.
