    Hi,
I´m trying to populate the member database with users from an other user database using SQL queries.

But I don´t seem to make the correct password encryption.

My question is how do I make the correct encryption for the password?

    I use EE 1.6.7.

    Thanks
    Robert

    Hi, Gatecom_Rob.

EE saves passwords using SHA1 encryption. Does that help?

One thing I forgot to mention is that if you use MD5, EE will on the fly convert it to SHA1 when they log in.

    So you can use the
CP Home ›  Admin ›  Member Import Utility with a .csv or .xml file using MD5.

    Does that help?

Also, you’re a few versions behind, you might want to consider upgrading to 1.7.1 which has a few security upgrades applied.
