    Hi there—

I’m developing a site using a second domain for a client (Site A is the original EE site, and Site B is the second site).  We have the Multisite Manager installed, and it works fine (there is another site already operating, let’s call it Site C).

The client has requested that development for Site B be conducted offline, so invisible to the public.  I’ve set Site B to “Offline” in the Admin section of the CP (system is online, site is offline).

I’ve followed many of the threads on this forum, and I’ve done everything I can find to update the Cookie settings and domain settings.

But I am still encountering the “System Offline” message when I go to the site (and am still logged into the Control Panel as a super admin).

Please advise.  Development on my end cannot continue without correcting this issue.

    Thanks!

I believe I solved this issue.

In searching through the forums, I have discovered that it was necessary to include a copy of the “admin.php” file in the secondary site’s directory—and by logging into the CP using this file, I have been able to access the site while it is offline (as long as I am logged into the CP as a Super Admin).

    Issue solved.

    Thank you!
