    I have debug set to 0.

    I have display_errors set to 0 in my apache conf.

    I have error_reporting() set to E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED.

    Im still getting

    A PHP Error was encountered

    Severity: 8192

    Message: Function eregi() is deprecated

    Filename: db/db.mysql.php

    Line Number: 342

    In little red outlined boxes (so i know its coming from expression engine).

    Need to stop em, cant figure out where they are coming from!

    Hi Triad,

    This was an issue in older versions of EE. It looks like you just need to upgrade to EE 1.7.1. Does that help?

    Unfortunately i wont be able to upgrade that site until the time comes to rebuild on ee2, for now i navigated through the codeigniter scripts and manually disabled the error trapping… (no, not ideal, but, its a temporary solution that was needed, so itll do!)

    Sounds like you have a solution for now.. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
