    Hi all,

I’m working on a client site that uses EE 2.1.3 and is being hosted by a MediaTemple (dv) hosting plan.

We’ve had no problems for over a year, until today we tried to add a new subdomain to develop an alternate mobile version,
and the site has been down ever since: both the site index and the CP return a white screen.

Debugging is set to 1 for both the site and CP index and PHP Memory Limit is 64M.

I’ve tested with phpinfo() and know that all modules seem to be working… Also, the server’s php error logs don’t read *any* messages that seem suspect. The database is working properly and the dbtest utility returns that everything is connected and appears ok. We tried the EE installation wizard as well.

It’s almost like the site is working properly but not displaying. We even tried installing a fresh version of EE on a testing subdomain, and when we press the ‘Click to Begin’ button, we don’t get a response.

Any help or ideas would be very much appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

    Thirst/3st.com,

What method did you use to add a subdomain? Did you add MSM? Or did you use one of the other methods? Just want to know what we are dealing with.

You mention the site index returning a white screen. Do any of the other sections of the site render as you want them to?

    Hi Marcus,

First off, I should introduce myself: my name is John Pobojewski working for Thirst.

No subdomains were actually installed or connected via EE: I never even got that far. Just by adding that subdomain in Plesk via (mt), the main site (no subdomain) seemed to go to a white screen.

All areas of the site return the white screen (index, CP, 404, known site section pages like ‘site.com/work’). Static files like images do show up though.

This issue is now resolved: it turns out that it was an issue on the server, and rebooting fixed the problems.
Thanks for your response! We appreciate it here at Thirst!
