I am mid-build on a site and the hosting company needed to move my site to another location and with another IP. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the other IP. I have updated the config.php,database.php and have removed all references in the database to the old ip, however, when I load the admin login page for Expression engine, it is still trying to use the old IP.

I tried deleting the files in the system/expressionengine/cache directory, but that also didn’t force a reset.

Any tips to force the adjustment to the new IP?

    graphicmachine,

    Welcome to the Forums!

Let’s start by pointing you to an add-on that hop studios created for just this type of situation called Deeploy Helper.

Once you have installed that make sure that all of the paths have really been changed. We usually tell people it is best if they NOT do a find and replace on the database as there may be issues with some of the serialized data in the DB if you take that route.

    Does this help?
