Installing above web root on EngineHosting

    Hello, everyone.

I’m trying to install EE above web root on an EngineHosting account, but I keep getting this error when accessing the masked control panel file:

Your system folder path does not appear to be set correctly. Please open the following file and correct this: cp.php

What I have for the system folder path in the cp.php file is this, which the EngineHosting support team says should be correct:

    /www/username/ee

Is there something I should be doing differently?

I doubt this makes any difference for installation purposes, but I also have two secondary domains set up for this account. Those are also supposed to run from outside the usual public_html directory.

I’ve been attempting to follow the instructions for moving the system folder above web root, but are there separate instructions for installing above web root, by any chance?

Ah, nevermind, I seem to have gotten it worked out. For whatever reason, it seems to have worked better to have done the installation under the web root directory, and then move the system folder above web root (and making the necessary changes to the relevant files, etc.) afterward. In any case, I seem to be good to go now.

    😊
