    Hello,

I’ve poked around the forum but couldn’t find whether it was possible to modify member templates in 2.x.  I am using v2.1.3, and we have a client who would like us to customize pages such as the password reminder.

I have seen year-old posts about modifying files within a Specialty Templates subdirectory of the system folder.  This seems no longer to exist in 2.x.

    Thanks!
    John

You can do it that way:

But major pain, especially when updating EE. If you serious then take a look at Solspaces “User” module - puts membership back into the traditional template area 😊

Thanks Cheif!  I think this will work for us for the time being.  We’ll look into the Solspace module also.

I duplicated the default directory within member_profile and renamed it, then applied this new version to the site in global template preferences.  I guess when we update EE I’ll just keep a backup of this and paste it back into the revised themes directory.  I realize this approach will have its perils.

Thanks, John.  This does help.  As long as my approach above will work we are good.
