    Hi There,

I’m trying to do a custom sort of my categories in the Category Management. When I click on the blue up/down arrows, nothing moves or gets sorted. The “update” button doesn’t do anything either. Thanks… dave

P.S. I just noticed that the sorting is showing up in the front end in the template but not in the manager itself. Looks like a bug?

This is a known bug, please see https://support.ellislab.com/bugs/detail/14821/#10107 for the solution.

    Thanks for the assist, Leon.

Dave, does that information help? You may or may not want to upgrade to the beta to fix this particular problem, but you could test locally to see if the risk is minimal.

    Does that help?

I tried Leon’s suggestion and it works OK now.
A little off the topic… does EE come with an add-on to help display sub(daughter) categories? Thanks… dave

    Hi, Dave.

You mentioned this previously, but let’s talk about it here.

By display children, are you talking about some method of displaying them on the front end of the site?

One question for you.. are you automatically selecting the parent of the child? It does that by default unless you tell EE differently.
