I’ve developed my site locally using XAMPP. My production site is hosted with Media Temple. I am having trouble getting the migration to work properly. From what I’ve read, the migration requires you to use SQLyog (community edition) to import the database that was exported via phpmyadmin. However, the community edition doesn’t allow me to import my exported file. I also tried importing the data via phpmyadmin but got errors as well. Is there a better document on going from development to production out there?

I was able to figure this out myself. I will be posting a blog article on the steps to accomplish this.

XAMPP 1.7.4 development to production server. I am also using ExpressionEngine 2.1.1.

I think that’ll be quite useful to the community, hayden.

I use XAMPP<->site all the time, but without your database challenges. Deeploy Helper makes the configuration changes very rapid and very clear.

    Clive

Cool, I am glad there are some other people using XAMPP for EE development. Most of the articles I’ve ready people are using WAMP, MAMP, or some other form. I will post a link to my blog post as soon as I finish it. Thank you for your feedback.
