I have a channel with an RSS feed, and I have subscribers to a mailing list to receive updates. I’d like to find a module/option/whatever that lets us automatically send an email to a mailing list (preferably with an editable template) whenever we add a new post/article to the channel.
Has anyone done this?

Unfortunately that is not a feature offered out of the box. What you can do is use something like Feedburner to email RSS updates. You may be able to find a third-party solution on Devot-ee, it’s definitely worth a look.
