Extensions disable themselves on mirrored server

    I’m currently building out a website that works on a mirrored server.  I’m having difficulty keeping the extensions enabled through the EE control panel.  I press ‘enable extensions’... move off the page… and shortly thereafter, the extensions are suddenly disabled.  This is causing content to ‘drop’ from the site.

    Is there a hook… or command (a cookie?) that I need to coordinate with my system administrators to keep the extensions enabled?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hey Brenda,

    It sounds like perhaps the permissions aren’t correct on your config.php (/system/expressionengine/config/config.php), and so EE can’t write to it. Can you confirm the permissions are set to “666”?

    There should be a line in the config.php file which reads:

    $config['allow_extensions'] = "y";

    Hope this helps,
    Chuck

    Oh that worked!  The config file was set to 666 but for whatever reason, it wouldn’t ‘take’.

    That said, adding $config[‘allow_extensions’] = “y”; manually to the file appears to have solved the issue!  I’m gonna watch it over the next couple of hours just to make sure - but so far, so good.

    Thank you!
