    Hi there,

Not sure if I need Multisite or not.

I am running the latest version of EE for a company website and would like to create membership for different clients within the EE environment. The purpose for this is to create a repository for media assets for each individual client with separate log ins and restricted permissions. Downloads only and browsing.

I don’t believe this is a multisite instance since it is all under the same domain. For the assets, though, I need those to only be visible to that particular client. So, do I create separate media folders for each client such as /clientname_media?

We have done this already, but have a separate installation running in a subdomain. But I’d like all of the logins to be from out homepage.

    Thanks,

Welcome to the ExpressionEngine forums, Daniel.

I’d approach this by using a channel for each client, with a downloads folder just for them. I’d then create one template group for each client, and funnel them over to “their” client group. You would also need to have each client be its own member group. Does that help?

That’s kinda what I was hoping. Could the download folder be browse able and have functionailty like the attached screenshot?

Do you think there are any limitation in EE for files size upload or downloads? That’s a server issue, right. WE are running this on a dedicated server in a data center.

Hi, Daniel. Not seeing a screen shot here. 😊 You may run into issues if you are wanting to have users upload larger files, it may take some fiddling with PHP variables. Or just use FTP to build your repositories.
