This question may be related to a resolved thread.

    Hey everyone,

I jumped back on the migration train. Currently sitting on 1.7 & 2.1.1 forum.

I’ve tried three times tonight & keep getting the same error I previously got.

    {"error":"
    Error Number: 1068

    \n\n
    Multiple primary key defined

    \n\n
ALTER TABLE `exp_weblog_data` ADD PRIMARY KEY `entry_id` (`entry_id`)

    \n\n
    Filename: updates/ud_200.php

    \n\n
    Line Number: 1382

    "}

    Any other suggestions?

    BrunoBoys,

Can I confirm if this is for another site or is this still the same one? I don’t want to waste your time asking the same questions again

Yes, it’s the same site. It’s on a different location, but essentially the same.

Sorry, I’m a bit late to the party.  Is this the “other thread” of which you two are discussing?

Also, can you try running a repair on all database tables? You can do that using something like PHPMyAdmin.  We’ve seen this before where it ended up being the result of a problem table and a quick repair got things underway.

    Thanks!

    Hey Lisa,

Yes that is the other thread.

My name is Mike, I’m BrunoBoys’ developer.

I have repaired & optimized & repaired & repaired & optimized & repaired again. It always returns ok & I keep getting that same error.

However, a check on all tables show:

Problems with indexes of table `exp_forum_polls`
The following indexes appear to be equal and one of them should be removed: PRIMARY, poll_id

Problems with indexes of table `exp_forum_pollvotes`
The following indexes appear to be equal and one of them should be removed: PRIMARY, vote_id

Problems with indexes of table `exp_weblog_data`
The following indexes appear to be equal and one of them should be removed: PRIMARY, entry_id

I’m no DBA, but if I look in the design, I do not see an duplicates…

    BrunoBoys,

Those are warning more than errors but are tied in with your original error so I am going to ask the devs on this one

    Mike,

The suggestion is to have a look at “Table already exists” error when upgrading

Particularly the “using Webkit instead of FF” part.

This was put into a new database when I first started the upgrade & each time I attempted, I completely wiped the DB.  Also, Every time I’ve attempted the upgrade I’ve been using Chrome.

But I’m confused, I’m not getting “Table already exists”

I’m getting “Multiple primary key defined”

    Hi Mike,

Can you please go to Admin > Utilities > SQL Manager and then the Query Form and type this command:

    show indexes from exp_weblog_data

Please take a screenshot of the output and then run that command again replacing exp_weblog_data with exp_forum_polls and then exp_forum_pollvotes taking screenshots each time. Please post those screenshots here. Also, please confirm that you have a full backup of your data and can properly revert to your working 1.7 installation?

    Cheers

Here ya go. Yes I can back either up.

This is actually taken from the dev environment that I was trying to upgrade to.  It is currently running 1.7 successfully.

    http://dev.brunoboys.net.php5-18.dfw1-1.websitetestlink.com/

The live site is currently running 1.6.8.

    http://www.brunoboys.net/

Due to the amount of time that has passed, I will have to start the upgrade from the 1.6.8 spot again, however going from 1.6>1.7 has never been the issue.

So we can do whatever we want with the data on the dev server.

    -Thanks
    Mike
