When I go to publish in weblog “B” it get the following error:

    erver error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.domain.com/system/index.php?S=d913405e8d477477dcf1a51f8686c5b719834a58&C=publish&M=entry_form&weblog_id=7. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

This is the only weblog I have this error on.
I have around 25 different weblogs and this a large site.

It is running 1.6.8 and I am working to move to 1.7.

    What is causing this error?

Hi, Bell Design: 500 errors are server errors, do you have access to your server logs?

Ms. Crocker, I found it has to do with my memory_limit for the server.
I have contacted the host about it.

But for what it is worth, I downgraded ngen file to 0.9.10 and fieldframe to 135 and got this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 17088 bytes) in /home/content/n/i/c/nicolebowman/html/wvweddings/system/extensions/fieldtypes/ngen_file_field/ft.ngen_file_field.php on line 842

Not sure why it doesn’t allow me to publish/edit entries in only 1 weblog, but others that use ngen I can publish/edit.

    Thanks

I’d suggest going up to 64M of PHP Memory if possible.

I finally got my memory limit upgraded to 64M but the problem still persist, have the following error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 17088 bytes) in /home/content/n/i/c/nicolebowman/html/wvweddings/system/extensions/fieldtypes/ngen_file_field/ft.ngen_file_field.php on line 842

Is this now a ngen issue with my ee installation?

Hi, Bell Design - it looks like nGen’s File Field is trying to use a bit more than you have available.  You might try increasing again to 128m and see if that helps. I’d also recommend following up with nGen to see if they can help pinpoint what is going on there.

    Thank you!

Thanks Lisa,  I increased it to 128M and still no dice.
I contact nGen on the 19th by posting in their fourms but still no word.

    Thanks

    Hi Bell Design,

We can’t specifically support the third party nGen fieldtype, so hopefully they can help you get it sorted. I’ll leave this thread open though in case it turns out to be an EE-specific issue.
