I created a member group for “authors”, all the channel posting preferences are set to YES, but when he publishes and entry, the status by default is closed, how can I change the default status to open? Regarding publishing, I want the same functionality as the superadmin. I guess I’m missing a setting, can anyone help me?

You must assign a status group to each channel. Failure to do so automagically sets it to closed if not.

Yes, thanks, the problem is solved. I assigned the status group for one channel and forgot about the rest.
