I’m having some trouble turning a regular pdf into its own url and would like to know where I can find instructions for this. I’ve already uploaded the file to the main upload directory. Under placement option, I selected URL, and then under Image Location I was told I should select Website URL, which I’ve done. I’m not sure what the last step is, though. I simply want to be able to provide people with a link to this pdf document that I’ve already uploaded to the main file directory. Please help

    Thanks!

Lots of possible ways to do this….

I happen to use the wiki module to upload and store my PDFs….and then the links can be inserted into wiki articles or accessed regularly with a URL.

BUT, you could also use the regular web server path to your uploads directory plus the real name of the file:

    http://www.hearth.com/econtent/images/uploads/207upland.jpg
is a picture of a stove, which can also be seen through the wiki file system as:
    http://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/wiki/File:207upland.jpg/

Is that the type of info you needed?
