When I try to change the ‘Default Text Formatting for This Field’ it refuses to apply and reverts to none.

Anyone got a fix?
Ben

Ben,
What browser are you using?
Do you experience the same in another browser?
Is this a fresh install or an upgrade from another version or build?
What theme are you using?
Were are you trying to change it? In the custom field settings or via the publish page?
When you change the formatting is the dropdown not sticking or the actual out put of the field not changing?

Same problem on both Safari and Firefox on the Mac and on Windows IE8.
Standard CP theme
I’m trying to change the setting on the master custom field settings.
I can select whatever I like form the dropdown then hit ‘Update’ but it won’t stick, it stays on ‘None’. Output reflects this.
We have a ‘LOT’ of entries using this field too:(

Just tried to create a new field and what ever setting I put in for ‘Default Text Formatting for This Field’ it always reverts to ‘None’ too

What kind of custom field are you trying this with?

Hi Ben,
Are you getting the “confirmation” icon in the upper right after you submit?
Was this an upgrade from a previous version? Please download the latest package and try replacing your themes/cp_themes folder with the latest from that package.

It was an upgrade from the previous version.
Yes we are not getting the “confirmation” icon after submit in the top right which states “Custom Field Edited”??
I’ll try and replace the themes/cp_folder…

themes/cp_folder replaced with no effect.

I have this resolved, in part.
I’ve been through all my addons etc, leaving Carthrob until last.
I deleted everything to do with Carthrob but still had the problem until I uninstalled the FieldTypes Carthrob installs.
Looks like a clash somewhere?
I’ll cross post on the CT forum and see if anyone else has the issue?

Glad you were able to figure out at least what was causing the problem. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions.
