We’ve relaunched the site for Ticon Properties, a Durham NC based commercial and residential apartment real estate firm. We had designed the previous incarnation of this site in the dark days before we discovered ExpressionEngine and had crafted a home-made PHP based CMS for managing some content. Although quite rocking for 2006, the site was starting to feel cramped (it had been designed for 800 x 600 monitors) and dated. The Ticon folks also wanted to have more content and more control over their content.
The site is an EE 2 installation with some Pixel and Tonic add-ons (Playa and Matrix) installed to make some of the relational stuff easier to manage. We also leveraged the built-in jquery plug-ins to drive cool stuff like the tables in commercial property listings (tablesorter may be my new favorite jquery plug-in).
Please poke around and let me know if you see any wonkiness. It just launched Friday (3/25), so there may be some I-can’t-see-them-cause-I’ve-looked-at-it-too-much stuff rolling around.
On my to-do list:
Customizing the Freeform error message page to match site.
Setting template caching
Getting the favicon up
