I have a set of administrators for my site that are tied in to using IE7 by there IT team and they are having some probems in the admin section of the site. The file upload lightbox is all kinds of broken in IE7.

When the user clicks on the Add File link the page scrolls to the bottom so the user has to scroll back up to use the form. (this is just annoying my second point is a real bug).

When there are multiple file fields the first fields works fine (other than the point above) but when you click on the second there is no upload form. In fact if you click on the add file link then close it without adding a file and then click the link again the form doesn’t show. Inspecting the lightbox with IE developer toolbar it seems there is a form there but it won’t display.

This is causing the client to have to add a file save the entry then open it again just to add the second file.

    Hi Nixon Design,

The file chooser has gotten a revamp in the 2.1.4 beta, and we are improving it further for the stable release. I’d suggest giving the beta a try or waiting for the next stable release. I don’t have an exact ETA on that yet, unfortunately.

Ok thanks I’ll see if we can wait until then, I don’t really want to deploy the beta realease just yet!

Hi, Nixon Design. Would you like to keep this thread open a bit longer while you decide, or can we close it?

Hi, ND - You could always install the beta locally so it doesn’t interfere with your site,  you should then be able to see that it’s working quite differently without any impact on your live site.

If you do have any other questions, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help out.

    Thank you!
