Site coexistance

I would like to have a regular website template purchased from a third party vendor, and I would like it to coexist with my EE2.  I don’t need them to share functionality.

For example, I’d like to be able to access “http://www.mysite/somespecialpage.htm” that has nothing to do with EE, while I’d like to be able to use EE (e.g., “http://www.mysite/EEpage.html”).

Any ideas what I need to do to make this happen?

As long as there is no conflict between your template/article names & your flat .html files then by supplying the .htm suffix should suffice.

EE doesnt use suffixes to display its content.

    Thanks for the assist, Cheif.

Prosocial Science, I do this fairly often. I create a single entry template and an entry, and then use the Pages module to map the visible url to go where I want. That way, I can replace those .html files as I go along… Does that help?

    Thanks, guys!

I’m not entirely sure what you guys said, but now I know it’s possible and have some better idea what is entailed.
    :o)

    Thanks!

    Hi Ian,

Okay, I’ll go ahead and close this thread but please open a related one if you have further questions about this.
