    Hi all,

I can’t find a way to order the gallery categories (exp:gallery:categories). Now I get the most recent category at the bottom of the list. I’d like it the other way around.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Michel,

You can order the categories within the module itself. In your CP go to your gallery, click the Categories tab and then use the arrows to order the categories in the way that you wish.

    Cheers

Problem is that we have about 100 categories :-(. I can’t imageine there is no way to sort it via entry_date or id or sth like that, no?

    Thx for the help,
    Michel

Hi, Michel. There isn’t another method built in. Are you going to be staying within EE1.x for this site, or eventually upgrading to 2.x? You’d have better control if you used a weblog or a channel in EE2.

We could move to EE2, but I’m afraid as there is no good alternative that easily migrates the existing picture galleries. We’re talking about 5000 pics. Or is there one I don’t know of?

At the present, there isn’t. But it’s on this page:

In progress. Now we don’t have a release date for this new functionality, but hang tight.
