    Hello,

How the heck do I disable caching when developing website?

Is it possible to disable cache just for particular user / environment?

Its really annoying to delete cache files each time you make changes on the system..

How can we get rid of this behavior?

    Thanks for help

    Hi, lunatbwa -

Do you happen to know which types of caching you have enabled? The way to disable those changes based on that information.  Here is the user guide page on the different cache methods and where you can find them.

    Does that help?

    Hi, lunatbwa.

There are different kinds of caching, what kind are you talking about? There are five different kinds of caching:

    See: http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/general/caching.html

    Does that help?

I don’t have template / query or database caching turned on, but EE will still cache my templates.

If I make a change, I still see the old version until I delete /cache folder.

This is one of the most annoying developer experiences I’ve ever had with any CMS.

How is it possible to turn GLOBAL caching off?

Deleting folder /cache after applying changes to website is just painful.

    Hi, Lunatbwa.

There’s a filed Feature Request that might help a bit, but for now there is no way to turn off all global caching.
