Quick question. I reset the default HTML buttons for my user account (super admin) and then realized it was only for my account. My buttons now do not match the default buttons for all users. How do I set my account back to matching the site default. I may want to change the site default buttons later and I want to be able to do it once for all users including myself. Thank you for your help.

Welcome to the ExpressionEngine forums, srevoal.

Let’s have you do the following:

Locate one of your other users, and view what their html button settings are. Then adjust your settings to match there’s. Did you add, remove or change the settings? But as you saw changing everyone’s HTML settings aren’t done by just changing yours..

let me rephrase. At this point I am the only user. How can I re-link my profile’s default buttons to the site’s default buttons. I would rather not have to manually adjust my default buttons in two places every time I change the available buttons once I add additional users. Sorry if I am confusing. Thank you.

Took me a while to find it, but I did. 😊

Take a look at the exp_html_buttons table.

Notice there are rows with the member_id of 0. Those rows are default buttons for everyone. If your member_id is 1, see if there are rows with the value of member_id of 1. If you delete those rows (after making sure you have a good backup of the table *before* you attempt this), it should restore you to using just the standard HTML buttons.

    Does that help?
