High disk reads/writes after reboot

I just rebooted my web server (windows 2000 running IIS5 and EE 1.6.8) and the average disk queue (ADQ) is running very high.

I ran sysinternals’ process monitor and I’m seeing the system folder hit over and over again, specifically the db_cache and filedtypes sub-folders.

Is this normal?  My pages are loading slow right now and I’m wondering if I have something mis-configured, maybe over-caching, or under-caching?

Well, it looks like this resolved itself after 30 minutes or so.  I’m guessing that it was having to re-cache the data after a reboot?

Hi, John. Depending on how many pages you had to cache, that might just be the issue. But it sounds like things are OK again.. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
