    Hi,

It appears as if ampersands are not getting converted to appropriate entities in category names. This causes any page with a category name with an ampersand to fail validation (not sure if this also applies to other special characters or not).

This issue was brought up way back in 2008 by another user: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/69842/

    Hard coding the character isn’t really a client-friendly solution…

It appears it has never been addressed and the xml_encode plugin is not available for EE2. I did find this one for EE2 in the meantime: http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/eencode/

Do you have plans to correct this in a future build so that the extra plug-in isn’t necessary?

    Thank you,
    -m

Hi, maodiddy. In the previous post, a Feature Request was suggested, but it appears it may not have been made. How would you feel about making a new request?

Thanks for posting it. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions.
