Freelance vs. Commercial version?

I have a freelancer license on a dev server and we just purchased a commercial license for a customer.  We want to setup the customers site on our dev server and then move everything over when ready.  I was told there are additional features in the commercial version.  Is that correct?

If there is a difference, is there a way I can install the commercial version on our dev server and then transfer it to the customers site when ready?

    Hi, dzaun—

I answered this in email last night; did you have any followup questions?

For others looking, I recommended starting with the commercial installation.  We do allow a non-live development installation so that is not a problem.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi,

i don´t know how the answer was from last night, but i´m also interested if it´s possibe to buy the freelance version for development tests over a longer period and than change that license, when the client site is going live?

And are there any differences between the freelancer and commercial version?

    Regards

    Peter

Hi Peter, and welcome to the forums!

Yes, there are differences in the available features. As Lisa said it usually makes sense to start with Commercial, but you are able to upgrade a Freelancer to a Non-Commercial or Commercial license at any time right from our store.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
