There must be an addon that does this.
Nesting channel tags is a bad idea but having to query the DB multiple times is inefficient.
If I have various fields scattered around the page then I either have to nest or else hit the DB every time I want to display a new field from the same record.
There must be a way to avoid this.

NSM Transplant does what your talking about ($ i think) and then there is MX Jumper too which i beleive is free but the NSM stuff is usually pretty solid.
