Bulletin Board within CP Home

Hi.

Can you let me know how I can display information on the Bullrtin Board on the homepage when you login to EE.

What I want to do is this;

We are creating a Rectuiment website.

We want to take information from a database and display it within the Bulletin Board Area.

We know the SQL to do it, just not how EE will display it and what we need to do to get the information there.

Have EE got a variable that we can use and manipulate?
